The Fall of Qarsherskiy's Dictatorship

Qarsherskiy's pre-independence government used to be an extremely strict dictatorship and was often compared with (over-dramatically) North Korea is in 2021. In late 2019 and early 2020 a group of people planned to overthrow the government and did so successfully. Once In Charge, they installed a proper democracy and stepped down from power. Now, the nation is no longer a  democracy and there is no longer a democratic government also because on 28 March 2023 the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy declared independence and installed an Islamic monarchy led by the first sultan, Sultan Ali Aq-Qarsherskiyy At-Tarīq, who was democratically elected to be the first sultan of Qarsherskiy and whose kids will likely take over one day.

Despite clear cultural, ideological, religious, political, ethnic, linguistic, and governmental differences and despite the fact that the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy declared independence from the USA, the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy is not an enemy of the USA as it would’ve easily been destroyed long ago if that were the case. While a loud minority among Qarsherskiyans are against American imperialism and Western beliefs of ideological supremacy, Qarsherskiy does not declare war on the USA or attack American military bases and installations. Qarsherskiy tries to remain neutral or an ally of the USA (UNLESS QARSHERSKIY’S GOVERNMENT FEELS PROVOKED) and has generally been considered non-threatening to all Americans except those who purposely attack Qarsherskiy (such as the Federated States of Bombenfein, a Neo-Nazi group that opposed Qarsherskiy’s claim to independence in early 2023 and was destroyed in a two month skirmish called the PondWater Neo-Nazi “War” between F.S.B. Neo-Nazis and the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy’s military).
